But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you. Speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea tell you. Every one of these knows that the hand of the Lord has done this.
Here’s a sampling of how to praise God the Creator of everything!
God wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent.
God makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.
He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.
God set the earth on its foundation;
it can never be moved.
God waters the mountains from his upper chambers;
the earth is satisfied by the fruit of his work.
There is the sea, vast and spacious,
teeming with creatures beyond numbers
living things both large and small.
How many are your works, O Lord!
In wisdom you made them all.
The earth is full of your creatures!
Praise the Lord!
After reading Psalm 104, hold a competition. How many “things” can you name that God has created? Write them on slips of paper and fill a huge container.
There are so many reasons to celebrate our God. His creation—even though it has been affected by sin—gives us a beautiful, majestic, and powerful picture of the God who created us. Spring is a great time to celebrate God and his creation!
