Memory Verse

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17         haughty eyes,
        a lying tongue,
        hands that shed innocent blood,
18         a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19         a false witness who pours out lies

Here is a tricky quiz to try. Put these Bible people into the best category:

1. Goliath 2. Sarah 3. Queen Esther 4. Peter 5. Paul 6. David 7. Adam 8. You 9. Queen Jezebel

Here are the categories:

Goliath and Queen Jezebel are easy. They were both very wicked to God's people and belong under "BAD". The rest of the people seem harder to categorize.

Sarah and Queen Esther were well known for their beauty. They also followed God faithfully. Yet, Sarah was cruel to her servant Hagar, and Esther lied to the king about being Jewish. Where do they fit best?

Paul persecuted Christians (using his name Saul) and then preached salvation around the world. Where does he belong? David did wonderful things for God, but he also had some major sins. Adam lived in the Garden of Eden, but he also helped bring sin into God's perfect world. What about you? Where do you fit?

There's good news for you. How does God judge you? God looks at your heart, but He sees only good things. Do you know why? Jesus paid the price for all the bad in your heart. So when God really looks at you, all the bad is gone. Where would God put you? BEAUTIFUL! GOOD! Be joyful because to God you are so beautiful.
