Idolatry-Discerning: Time Management

Memory Verse

Ecclesiastes 3:1

For everything there is a season,  a time for every activity under heaven.

Have you ever heard this saying: There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven? That saying is actually verse 1 of Ecclesiastes 3. See if you can fill in the missing words from Ecc. 3: 1-8

A time to be born and a time to ________.
A time to plant and a time to ___________.
A time to tear down and a time to ________.

A time to cry and a time to _________.
A time to be silent and a time to _________.
A time for war and a time for _____________

Now, try reading these verses out loud together.

A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to uproot.
A time to tear down and a time to build

A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
A time for war and a time for peace

Try writing some of your own "time for everything" lines.

A time to ____________________ and a time to _________________________

A time to ____________________ and a time to _________________________

Time is a gift from God. As with all of His gifts to us, God wants us to use our time wisely. Today, any time is a great time to thank God for giving His time to you!
