Theme: Celebrate Advent
Advent means “the coming of something awaited.” God first made his promise of a Savior way back in Genesis 3 to Adam and Eve. Prophets wrote how the coming Messiah would change everything. Finally, the time was perfect for Jesus Christ to be born in tiny Bethlehem. Read about the arrival of our Savior in Luke 2.
Celebrate each day of the Advent season by making a chain of daily activities. Each day break off a loop and complete the activity written upon it. The daily options could include Christmas songs to sing, Bible verses to memorize, crafts to make, baking, or praying for specific people to come to know Jesus.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
