Theme: The Empty Tomb

How would you feel if your best friend Jesus told you that when you reached Jerusalem, he would suffer and be killed…….and then come back from the dead?  The disciples struggled with Jesus’ suffering, with Jesus’ death, and with the thought of Jesus rising from the dead, but Jesus never gave up on them…or on us!

Read about Jesus’ empty tomb in Matthew 26—28.

    Matthew 16:21

From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed, and on the third day be raised to life.
