Reflect

Our memory verse for this episode says that God has a plan and he works to make that plan happen. What is God's plan and purpose for you? Romans 8:29 says that God chose you to become like Jesus. And Peter says the goal is the "salvation of our souls" (1 Peter 1:9). God works in and through every part of your life to fulfill that purpose. The way that God does this isn't always the way you think it should happen. It can be painful. It can be frustrating. But when you know your life (even with the scary parts) is a part of God’s plan, it somehow makes these things a little more bearable.

Even though Esther was scared, she trusted God's plan and purpose for her. She continued to worship God through prayer and fasting. Even when things are tough or scary, you can continue to find ways to worship (through song, prayer, writing). Trust that God will work in and through those things to achieve his plan and purpose. His plan for you is that you become like Jesus.

Want to dig deeper and learn more about God worshiping? Read Romans 12:1 and Psalm 150:2-6.

Challenge

Is there something in your life that is scary, or frustrating? Are you moving or changing schools? Are you having a fight with a friend? Do you feel lonely? Can you trust that God will use this problem in his plan and purpose for your life? Talk to you parents about this and pray with them asking God to help you trust in his plan and purpose for your life. You can also pray for others who are in scary situations right now.
