The Names of Jesus

With all the busy-ness surrounding the advent season, it’s difficult to keep “Jesus as the reason for the season.” Jesus is so much more than just a baby lying in a manger. Here is an idea adapted from Ann Spangler’s book Praying the Names of Jesus (Zondervan, 2006). Each day take a name for Jesus and read the Bible verse that uses that name. Here is an advent schedule of dates, names, and Bible verses:
