Scriptural Blessings Bookmark

Question: What did Old Testament parents do better than Christian parents do? Answer: Claim God's blessings for their children out loud for their children to hear. It is a privilege that God gives us to cover others with his blessings. By calling on God's blessings for our children out loud, we are reminding our children that they are truly loved by God and called to be his children.

If you are interested in praying God's blessings for your children, here is an easy to use resource. It is a bookmark called "Scriptural Blessings to Pray for Your Children." There are 22 different blessings and scripture references to use on this bookmark.

Here are two examples:

"Repentance. When my children sin, quickly lead them to confess and repent so that they might enjoy a clear conscience and unbroken fellowship with you. (Ps. 32: 1-2; I Jon. 1: 5-9)

Guidance. By the Holy Spirit's power lead my children along paths of righteousness. Specifically, guide them in _____________. (Prov. 3: 5-6; Jn. 16:13)"

Praying scriptural blessings will enrich your prayers for your children and bless your children. This month Kids Corner is offering parents this bookmark as a special gift. If you would like us to send it to you, please email and ask for the prayer bookmark for parents. You'll be glad that you did!
