Play EpisodeEpisode Theme: We can help!
1. 2 Peter 3:13 points to God’s promise to make all things new. What are some ways that you can help fix the broken creation?
2. In Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus met his disciples on a mountain. After he was crucified and had risen from the dead, he had appeared many times to many people, both his disciples and others. Now he was giving his disciples their last instructions. The first job he gave them was to “go and make disciples of all nations.” That was a big job, and Christians are still doing it today. The second job was to baptize people, helping them to know the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Their final job was to teach people to obey everything that Jesus had commanded. The disciples (and millions of Christians who have come after them) have worked hard over the last 2,000 years to preach and teach the Bible—but the job isn’t done yet! Look back at the end of the verse. Jesus says, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” As you listen to this episode, think about how there’s still work to do as God continues to restore his people and his creation.
“But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness”
2 Peter 3:13In this episode, Liz and gang finish their adventure in Wonder World, with everything inside the dome restored to the way they were meant to be.
Someday (only God knows exactly when), Jesus will come again—not as a baby, but as our King. He’ll dazzle us with a new heaven and a new earth. He’ll invite us to enjoy his perfect creation and to live there with him forever. We’ll actually see Jesus face to face. However, right now is important too! Right now, God is restoring his creation, and we can help. 1 Corinthians 3:9 says we have a task to do as co-workers in God’s service. Just like Isaiah, Gideon or Mary, God gives each of us particular tasks. They may be large or small, but regardless, God is calling you to action! What a blessing to share in God’s work!

Choose three adults that you admire, and who know you well. They might be in your family, your school, your church, or your neighborhood. Tell your parents who you’ve chosen, and then go ask them the questions below. (Hint: you may need to write out the questions so the adults have time to think about their answers!)
Collect all the answers. What conclusions can you make? How can you use the gifts and talents God has given you to help restore God’s world?
Do you ever wonder where everything came from? The Bible says that God created the world.
