Episode Theme: Make a difference.
1. 1 John 3:16 explains the pattern of grace: Jesus shows love to us, and we then show love to others. Jesus showed how much he loved you by dying on the cross. Do you have to die for someone too? How else could you “give your life for others”?
2. I Peter 4:10 says “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” God’s grace comes in countless shapes and each person is given different gifts to show that grace to others. Think about what gifts God has given you to share with others as you listen to this episode.
We know what love is because Jesus gave his life for us. That’s why we must give our lives for each other.1 John 3:16
In this episode, one character becomes a Christian! The journey to Jesus has been a long one. It took years of seeing Jesus’ grace through friends and then a final dramatic rescue.
How is your journey? Have you made a decision to make Jesus the Lord of your life? Sin keeps human beings from being in relationship with God, but God sent his son Jesus to be a sacrifice for all our sins so that relationship can be restored. After Jesus died, God raised him back to life so that we too could live forever with him (John 3:16-17).
First, you need to admit that you have done nothing to deserve Jesus’ sacrifice for you. You may not have been trying to destroy a town like Ms Drake, but you were still one of the people that “do not understand what is right”(Proverbs 28:5). Confess to God that you have been trying do things your way instead of his way.
Thank God for the gift of Jesus as a sacrifice for all of your sins. Tell him that you accept this gift.
Ask Jesus to be in control of your life from now on. Ask him to show you how to follow his example of love and show his grace to others (1 John 3:16).
If you have done these things, congratulations! “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God ... is with you” (1 Chronicles 28:20). Even though you are young, you can set an example for others (1 Timothy 4: 12).

God has given many gifts to his people. You can use those gifts to “give your life” for others. What gifts do you have? Are you a good artist? Do you write poetry? Do you like to talk to other people? Are you musical? Are you organized? Do you make people laugh? Are you good with technology? Do you cook? Are you athletic? Are you good at a specific school subject? Are you a good listener?
If God has given you a gift, it’s so that you can use it to bless someone else. Challenge yourself to find someone who needs one of your gifts in the next week. Keep your eyes open and be ready to share!
